A funeral is used the mark the end of a person’s life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person to God’s safe keeping. Everyone is entitled to a funeral by their parish priest regardless of whether they attended church or not.  It is a huge privilege to be able to offer this ministry to our local community.

Funerals can take place in the church before burial or cremation or simply at the crematorium or graveyard chapel.  You can find more information in our leaflet, When a loved one dies

The Church of England have a website dedicated to Funerals, you can see here:- http://churchofenglandfunerals.org
